Love is Patience

I have been through a dark night of my soul.
I am experiencing unconditional love for myself and others.
I am learning how to understand that life is one big experience and I am going to enjoy every moment.
I know that life happens for you, not to you.
I am learning who and whose I am.
I am becoming okay with the mistakes I had made and accepting the new and improved version of myself—the version that understands healing is my birthright and that I owe it to myself and most importantly I owe it to my children.
Joyce and her family live in Solid Ground’s transitional housing program. There, they have access to supportive services for adults and children, including assessment, goal planning, advocacy, basic needs assistance, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, employment services, living skills training (parenting, budgeting, etc.), after-school tutoring and educational support.
2024 Statistics
- This transitional housing program provides 20 units of housing to families.
- Families have access to a wide array of supportive services and all units receive project-based Section 8 rental assistance to make the housing affordable.
- In 2024, the program served 33 families (116 individuals).
