Last year Courtney, a single mother with a young son, successfully completed Solid Ground\u2019s HomeAgain<\/em><\/span>\u00a0program. Courtney is a loving mother and had faced challenges from her own childhood abuse, mental health challenges and addiction, that led to her losing custody of her older children.<\/p>\n

Courtney worked hard on her sobriety, and was determined to create a better life for her family. Her son was a huge motivator, and Courtney saw this as a second chance to do better as a parent. Working with her Solid Ground family advocate, she resolved to find work and become a role model for her son.<\/p>\n

Solid Ground\u2019s family advocate saw Courtney\u2019s strengths and helped her to see them too. She not only assisted her with lengthy paperwork to apply for permanent housing, but also helped her attain childcare which led to her finding employment. With the financial assistance of a permanent housing program, she was able to move on from Solid Ground\u2019s HomeAgain program and into stable housing for her and her son.<\/p>\n
