Solid Ground has housed and provided individualized support for nearly 1300 families \u2014 that’s more than 4600 adults and children \u2014 in the past 30 years. What we do works! Based on our years of experience and collaborative partnerships, AND WITH YOUR HELP, we will improve the effectiveness of the housing we already own, add more housing, and build resilience for the future.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Renovate to provide a healing, safe, and welcoming environment for all Solid Ground family members and staff to thrive. The heart of Solid Ground is a 31-year-old building called East Metro Place; home to staff, services, and 34 families.<\/p>\n

EXPAND ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING<\/h4>

Several years ago, Solid Ground formed a Housing Opportunities Committee to address challenges faced by Solid Ground participants due to the increasingly challenging rental market. Washington County has one of the highest average gross rents in Minnesota ($1,370 for a 2BR).<\/p>\n

SUSTAIN OUR INVESTMENTS THROUGH CAPITAL RESERVES<\/h4>

Just like a family can\u2019t live from paycheck to paycheck, an organization can\u2019t live from campaign to campaign. The third pillar of the campaign is a capital reserve fund that will allow us to update the buildings and units we own without using general operating dollars or compromising our services to residents.<\/p>\n
