For years Solid Ground has invited the community to share the magic of the holidays with the families we serve. Holiday donors have brought joy to hundreds of children and relief to many parents who might have otherwise struggled to afford gifts. We are excited to invite our donors back this year to share the holiday spirit through the Holiday Express!
How it Works
The Holiday Express gives families an opportunity to pick out the perfect gift for each other! Each family participating in Solid Ground programming will complete their Wish List of items. Families are then matched with community donors (like you!) who generously fulfill the Wish Lists and deliver the gifts to Solid Ground by December 10th for distribution.
How you can help
Fulfill a Wish List: Purchase gifts for a family by using their personalized Wish List. Bring the gifts (wrapped or unwrapped) to Solid Ground by December 10th for distribution.
Host a Gift Drive: Individuals are needed to help organize gift drives at schools, neighborhoods, businesses, and faith communities. Contact Dylan at 651-846-9024 to learn more!
Volunteer: The week of December 13th—15th, volunteers and staff will help distribute the gifts from East Metro Place, as well as arrange for curbside pick-up and delivery to families in our scattered site programs. Delivery times are offered during regular office hours and into the early evening to ensure that everyone has a happy holiday season.
Donate: If you are unable to shop for an entire family this holiday season, we welcome financial contributions, gift cards or purchases from our Amazon and Target online registries. All financial contributions and items purchased for the Holiday Express will be used to fill the Wish Lists of families that were not matched with a donor.
