Brian, a father, and his newborn son were recently at risk of losing their home because Brian was struggling to keep his small business afloat. He never struggled to pay rent before, but now he feared he would lose his family’s only safe and stable home. The uncertainty of the situation was overwhelming as he tried to keep his small family safe.
He made a decision to look for help and that is when he contacted Solid Ground’s prevention team. They took up his case and were able to advocate on his behalf so that he could avoid eviction and homelessness. The support didn’t end there. Our prevention team worked with Brian to help guide him through the process of stability and further resources to get him back on his feet, able to support his family.
